Christmas in a Motorhome

Spending Christmas in a motorhome is very special: far away from the usual environment and only with a minimum of equipment (no tv, no video, no phone) there is time to concentrate on the essentials of Christmas and to have time for one another.
The site is secured, the christmas tree (from home) is set up and lighted. The weather is lovely, sunny and not all that cold. At home in Germany it is raining at 15 degrees centigrade above.
Christmas dinner is ready and the small tree inside can only be lighted in exchange for the big one outside due to a missing Y connector.

On the menu: Cocktail, shrimp salad, air dried beef with balsamico vinegar, old Livigno cheese.

After some singing and flute playing it is time for the Christmas presents. The kid's can't wait any longer.
We have found a very interesting detail on an Italian motorhome: A small nativity scene attached to the rear roof ladder.
After the private part of the Christmas celebration we join the neighbors outside for a cup of punch (duty free of course). With proper clothing and additional heating via the stomach we last until midnight. We're lucky we don't have to drive home :-)
